Individual mental health therapy sessions are 50 minutes long and set to the frequency that matches your goals. Clients typically begin once a week and space appointments further apart as they meet their goals.
Individual therapy with Optimism is 100% via telehealth (online therapy), with the option to do webcam sessions, phone sessions, or a combination of both. Because of telehealth laws requiring therapists and clients to be in the same state, we are only able to provide services to Washington residents at this time.

Payments can be made via credit or debit card (including HSA and FSA cards). Optimism does not currently accept private insurance. This allows us to practice in the most effective and flexible ways possible. Contact your insurance provider for information about reimbursements.
Your first session will be used to get to know you better, set goals, and create a diagnosis if appropriate. Sessions are a team process. We will work to build insight, identify patterns, and create change. Most of life happens outside of therapy, so we emphasize applying what is discussed in therapy to everyday life between sessions.
