Hello! I am a queer human who loves horseback riding; reading whatever interesting books I come across; doting on my cats, horse, and plants; and doing crossword puzzles.
I specialize in grief and loss; LGBTQ+ issues; depression and anxiety; and trauma processing. I approach therapy from a place of curiosity, humor, and collaboration. I encourage my clients to be honest about the therapeutic relationship and process so that I can provide the best individualized care as possible.
My therapeutic interventions are based in narrative, humanistic, existential, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) modalities. I love helping others process and ask big questions such as “Why?” or “WTF?.” I also believe in the benefits of learning coping skills as we process these questions as some of the processing could potentially elicit some anxiety.
I received my degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark College in 2018. Before graduation I completed a year-long internship at Family Medicine of Southwest Washington where I collaborated with physicians and other medical staff to address patients’ mental health conditions.
I have worked with many different populations over the course of my career. Those populations include queer adults, adolescents, low-income communities, and individuals with chronic mental health conditions. I have experience advocating for my clients in order to gain access to resources as well as collaborating with other professionals for more encompassing care.
$145 per individual session payable via credit, debit, FSA, or HSA account.
Insurance: I am an in-network provider with First Choice Health, Regence, Aetna, Premera, and Lifewise and considered out-of-network for most other major insurance plans. If I am out-of-network with your insurer, I can provide a superbill which you can submit for reimbursement. Clients with the above insurers typically only pay a co-payment amount out of pocket or only pay the full fee until their deductible is met.
